Piercing Aftercare
Daily Cleaning Routine
- Wash Hands: Always scrub with antibacterial soap before touching your piercing.
- Frequency: Clean 2–3x daily until fully healed.
- Approved Cleansers: Use sterile saline (NeilMed or Base Laboratories), organic sea salt, or Bactine.
- Process: Spray the site directly or use a saturated cotton swab. Gently pat dry with a disposable paper towel (no cloth towels).
Oral Piercing Care
- Rinse: Use alcohol-free mouthwash diluted 50/50 with distilled water.
- When: Rinse after every meal and before bed.
- Ice: Use clean ice chips to reduce initial swelling.
Swelling & Pain Management
- Cold Compress: Apply ice (wrapped in a paper towel) to the area.
- Ibuprofen: May be taken as directed to help with inflammation.
HEALTH & INFECTIONS

- Nose -- 18g
- Ear Lobes -- standard earring or 22g
- Eyebrow, all cartilage, and all lip piercings -- 16g
- Belly and nipples -- 14g
*Most piercings are done with 10mm length jewelry, with the exception of belly, nipple and lip piercings which are fit to anatomy with a few extra mm for swelling.
